An attempt to buy equipment for mining led to the loss of 2.5 million rubles

Cryptocurrency mining is a popular way to make money, even though the industry is experiencing bad times. Nevertheless, large companies and private miners are ready to buy hardware.

One resident of the Kemerovo region decided to start mining cryptocurrency. Finding an attractive offer, he contacted the equipment seller. The dialogue moved from the marketplace to Telegram. After discussing the details, the buyer received a contract.

It should be noted that before sending a large amount of 2.5 million rubles, the victim checked the data from the contract through the tax office and did not find anything suspicious. Immediately after receiving the funds, the fraudster stopped contacting and blocked the victim. It is not the first case in Kemerovo related to fraud with cryptocurrencies. Earlier, under the pretext of investing in digital assets, 800 thousand rubles were swindled from one of the residents.
