Luxor Technologies Introduces LuxOS, Custom Antminer Firmware to Maximize Mining Efficiency

Luxor Technologies, a leading Bitcoin mining software and services company, has announced the release of LuxOS, the first Antminer-compatible firmware fully designed and engineered in the United States for optimal mining efficiency.

Firmware serves as a type of software that provides specific operating instructions to computing hardware, enabling Bitcoin miners to adjust the performance of their ASIC chips in mining rigs for higher hash rates and improved power efficiency. With LuxOS, miners can optimize their machines according to mining profitability, enhancing power efficiency during low profitability periods and increasing hash rates when profitability is high.

Luxor CEO Nick Hansen emphasized the demand for a US-designed and engineered custom firmware to improve mining margins, noting that Luxor was uniquely positioned to develop this product. LuxOS is now available for Bitmain  Antminer S19 series and S9 series Bitcoin miners.

Built using Rust, LuxOS does not rely on open-source options like CG miner. Moreover, Bitcoin miners using LuxOS will benefit from discounted fees when participating in Luxor’s Bitcoin mining pool.
