Innovative 300MW Bitcoin Mining Facility with Custom Power Management Launches in Texas

Saxet Infrastructure Group is developing a 300-megawatt hosting site in Corpus Christi, Texas, offering customers a unique way to manage electricity costs. The site will be connected to the grid and include a 300 MW battery storage facility, enabling flexible power management strategies.

Instead of a fixed hosting fee, Saxet will pass variable energy costs to customers and charge a lower fixed management fee compared to competitors. This approach addresses issues faced by the hosting market in the past, where fixed-price contracts often resulted in losses.

The Corpus Christi site offers several benefits, including moderate temperatures, lower altitude, and proximity to nearly 7 gigawatts of wind power generation. Saxet has secured all necessary funding and expects the full 300 MW of hosting capacity to be operational by the end of the year, with contracts only for larger than 25 MW from institutional clients.

Saxet’s power management strategy is adaptable, allowing customers to review their strategies regularly. The company believes that full transparency of energy pricing is key to their approach and the industry as a whole.
