Central Bank may allow international transactions

After a long time of negative comments and prohibitions crypto-holders got an illusive hope for a bright future. The first deputy of the Central Bank Ksenia Udaeva talked about the ability to allow international transactions using cryptocurrency. The regulator’s speaker admitted that it’s about international contracts and financial infrastructure.

Ksenia Udaeva said that the Central Bank is still against the use of digital currency in Russia and national contracts insisting that it is a very unsafe process.

Discussion about the crypto field in Russia has been held for a long time. The Central Bank has always had a very strong and strict position about the digital market and insisted on the total prohibition of all operations. But the latest events made it possible to change the point of view and begin to consider the possibility of allowing some operations.

The Association of Russian Banks is going to hold a meeting with the regulator and discuss the client’s identification and the transparency of crypto assets.
