U.S. Bitcoin Corp Seals Major Hosting Agreements: Set to House 150,000 Bitcoin Mining Machines

As originally reported by Coindesk, U.S. Bitcoin Corp (USBTC) has secured multi-year hosting agreements for 150,000 Bitcoin mining rigs with top-tier companies, including Marathon Digital Holdings (MARA). These recent developments showcase a marked resurgence in the crypto mining industry following a turbulent 2022, which saw many significant players, such as Compute North, filing for bankruptcy.

The three Bitcoin mining sites in question are located in Kearney, Nebraska, and in Granbury and Upton County, Texas. Following Compute North’s bankruptcy, energy investment firm Generate Capital procured its stakes in the Kearney and Granbury sites. Meanwhile, the facility in Upton County is jointly owned and operated with NextEra Energy (NEE) in a 50-50 partnership.

Among the new hosting clients joining forces with USBTC are Foundry, Sphere 3D (ANY), Decimal Group, and TeslaWatt. Further bolstering USBTC’s positioning in the crypto mining landscape is its ongoing merger process with the Canadian firm Hut 8 Mining (HUT), marking a significant consolidation move within the industry.
