The State Duma will again consider the issue of regulating mining

The relevant document is ready to be submitted to the State Duma for consideration.

According to Anton Gorelkin, deputy chairman of the Committee on Information Policy, the lower house of parliament will once again begin discussing the regulation of cryptocurrency mining in Russia.

Even though recently the consideration of this document was postponed indefinitely and the disagreements between the departments continue, the adoption of the legislative act remains relevant. Anton Gorelkin, who co-authored the draft law, noted that he expects to implement the measures proposed in the document as early as this year.

Recall that the original version of the bill outlined several important points for compliance:

• mandatory reporting of coins received
• indication of the wallet for the transfer
• a ban on advertising of digital assets and any options to offer them

Also earlier, the State Duma notified that the taxation of cryptocurrency mining activities will not differ from the principles applied to other types of entrepreneurial activities.
