The complexity level of BTC mining slightly decreased

Another change in the complexity level of BTC mining showed a slight decrease on block 776160. 

It happened after a new record level was reached. Thus, at the end of Sunday’s adjustment, the figure reached 39.16 trillion. BTC’s hashrate exceeded the value of January 29, amounting to 311 Eh/s.

The intervals between blocks range from min. 7 sec. to 11 min. 4 sec. The next change in complexity is expected to occur on February 26.

Foundry remains the clear leader with a share of 35.17%, followed by Antpool (20.69%) and F2Pool (13.79%). As a reminder, more than 80% of the global bitcoin hashrate is controlled by five pools.

According to macromicro.me, the price of BTC on the spot market is lower than the current cost of production. The figure is calculated taking into account the amount of energy consumed and the daily issue. The average cost of mining one coin reaches $24.1 thousand, while on the spot market, the price is $22 thousand.
