The adoption of the law on mining is postponed again

According to the Deputy Minister of Finance of Russia Alexei Moiseyev, another version of the bill was rejected by law enforcement agencies and the Central Bank. 

Moiseyev noted that one should not expect any comments on the results of the review shortly:

Now the disagreement with the Central Bank has been supplemented by questions from law enforcement agencies. Therefore, several meetings will take place in the future. Perhaps we will be able to find some solution. 

Recall that the Central Bank promotes licensing of cryptocurrency mining, while the Ministry of Finance is strongly against such methods of regulation. In addition, it was planned to introduce an experimental legal regime for foreign settlements in cryptocurrency. The position on the use of digital currencies for cross-border settlements was also supported by the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov.
