Russia is preparing to develop a special document that would define the responsibility for “dark” mining

According to statements by Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets, the issue of adopting a document, which will regulate the responsibility for illegal mining, is being resolved.

Based on the fact that the very concept of “mining” in the legal field is absent, “dark” or “illegal” mining can not be defined from a legislative point of view. However, some miners use electricity for free and use illegal connections to the network.

The bill, which was actively discussed at different levels last year and was designed to regulate the crypto industry, failed to receive approval at all stages and was postponed indefinitely. However, Aksakov is confident that both documents will be adopted in the next six months.

Recall, earlier Anatoly Aksakov came out for the prosecution of persons who use cryptocurrency payments in Russia. At the same time from his side, there was a proposal to work with such assets in another jurisdiction, as well as to pay with them for the delivery of goods from abroad.
