November results for Riot: a record amount of BTC was mined

Major miner Riot Blockchain demonstrated a record-breaking amount of mining during November: 521 BTC. Moreover, the company’s hashrate also reached a maximum of 7.7 EH/s.

Riot Blockchain CEO Jason Les noted that the mining level was lower than expected at 660 BTC, attributing the deviation to the performance of the mining pool:

We will have to change pools and connect to one where there is a consistent payout mechanism, which will help benefit from the increase in hashrate.

Jason Les also shared plans for 2023, noting that the company aims to reach 12.5 EH/s as early as Q1. Riot Blockchain’s reserves have reached 6,897 BTC.

Miner began receiving Antminer S19 units from Bitmain in December. The total batch volume is 5,019 units. Riot representatives also notified significant progress in building a data center in Texas: the exterior structures for two enclosures have been completed.

In Q3, the company mined 1,042 BTC and also earned $13.1 million in power back, the equivalent of mining 760 BTC.
