Mining is allowed in Iran again

The information about the resumption of mining in Iran occurred in the media. The Minister of Industry, Reza Fathemin Amin, confirmed it.

We can assume that to this decision Iran’s authorities were encouraged by a new draft bill about cryptocurrency regulation. Note, that the document considers the provisions about mining.

The Minister of Industry announced that mining in the country needs two licenses. The first one is for the company and will help it to get the necessary status and the second one is directly for mining. Besides that, the bill allows using mined coins for export delivery payments.

The Central bank will be the main regulator, but authorities admit that the ecosystem of cryptocurrency is so wide that it needs control from other departments.
