The CFO of a BTC miner has left his post

Complaints from investors and difficulties with the exchange trading led to the fact that the CFO of Argo Blockchain Alex Appleton left his position.

It became known from the company’s statements published on the website of the London Stock Exchange. It is currently unknown what exactly caused Alex Appleton to leave, but based on the information in the press release, he will consider other career prospects.

The negative news backdrop caused Argo’s stock price to plummet by almost 6%.

Appleton’s departure came after an investor class action lawsuit accusing the miner of underreporting. It was about capital restrictions and electricity costs. Investors were not able to assess the degree of sustainability of the business and received inflated expectations about the state of the company.

As a reminder, Argo Blockchain’s securities were previously down 50% on the back of the company’s statements. In addition, the listing on the Nasdaq was suspended due to non-compliance with the conditions of the exchange.
