One of Bitfarms’ mining properties was sold for $3.6 million

The Bitfarms mining company’s property in de la Pointe was sold for $3.6 million.

The bitcoin mining facilities at the site were operated with the help of Hydro Quebec of Canada, which provided hydroelectric power. Société de transport de Sherbrooke was reportedly the buyer. The public transportation service intends to use the facility for various initiatives. In particular, to recharge electric vehicles.

As for Bitfarms, the mining company intends to open a new facility in a different location. And the construction is moving ahead of schedule.

Recall that the current crisis in the crypto market affected all participants. Large creditors were among the bankrupts. Including, earlier, $32 million was provided to Bitfarms by the troubled company Blockfi. Shares of cryptocurrency mining companies have seriously sagged during 2022.
