Marathon faced serious problems because of the storm

More than two weeks ago the powerful storm struck the american town Hardin (Montana state). The natural disaster damaged BeoWulf Energy, the station which maintained Marathon Digital mining company.

Despite the long time period that has passed the company wasn’t able to eliminate the consequences of the accident. Currently about 75% (about 30 000 devices) of equipment isn’t restored.

ASIC-miners are safe but the company had to take a decision to reduce the quantity of mined tokens. The head of Marathon Digital Fred Til said that some machines will start work in the future month. For increasing the profitability the company transferred the part of equipment from MaraPool to another.

Earlier the head of Marathon admitted that he doesn’t see any reason to worry about the cryptomarket declining. At that moment the company owned 36 830 pieces of equipment and the total hashrate was near 3.9 Eh/s. After the storm left 0.6 Eh/s only.
