Major bitcoin miner has rebranded – changed name

Riot Blockchain, a major bitcoin miner, has changed its name. Representatives of the organization decided to get rid of the word «blockchain». Now bitcoin-miner will be called «Riot Platforms».

Such changes are not accidental, as according to the company’s representatives, the rebranding will emphasize the diversification of business operations, which are associated with bitcoin.

It is noted that the change is part of the corporate growth strategy. A larger expansion of diversified business operations is planned. The name change also reflects the ambitions of the company’s representatives. Riot Platforms plans to become the main global infrastructure, which will specialize in BTC.

Jason Les – CEO of Riot – said that an important stage for the company is coming. And this milestone is an outcome made possible by the principled position the organization has taken in the global crypto market.

«This rebranding perfectly demonstrates our position as competent distributors of capital. Going forward, we plan to significantly expand the scale of our bitcoin-related transactions and activities», – Jason Les added.

News of the corporate rebranding also flashed on Twitter, on the Riot Platforms account.
