Marathon CEO told about the amount of BTC the company has

According to Fred Thiel’s statements, Marathon is firmly in second place by the amount of BTC on the company’s balance sheet.

Thiel noted that since the summer of 2022, 1231 coins were mined and the miner managed not to sell any of them, despite the difficult situation on the market. The total amount of bitcoins, which has Marathon, is equal to 11300, or $205 million. The undisputed leader is MicroStrategy. It has 130 thousand of bitcoins in BTC purses.

Fred Thiel also noted that:

The company is working to deliver regular performance gains. In October we achieved a record 615 bitcoins per month, compared to 616 coins in the previous quarter.

According to the CEO, such results were possible due to the purchase of new hardware and improvements in previously installed capacity. The company pays great attention to the safety of mined BTC, as much as the current situation will allow.
