Anatoly Aksakov believes that it is important to solve the issues of regulation of cryptocurrency mining in 2022

Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Financial Markets is sure that the issue of regulation of mining cryptocurrencies in the country requires the adoption of an appropriate law shortly.

At the moment, the State Duma has not received feedback on the draft from the government. However, according to the available information, it will be provided by the end of the week. Immediately after that, the draft law on mining will be considered by the deputies.

Recall that in addition to issues of regulation of cryptocurrency mining, the law will also be considered, which deals with special legal regimes. They will be applied to settlements with foreign counterparties.

Anatoly Aksakov predicts that the draft law on mining will be adopted during the last week of December. Adoption of a second document may be delayed until early 2023.

In addition to the legislation itself, amendments to the Tax Code are required. For this purpose, the State Duma of Russia has set a deadline – the beginning of 2023. Disagreements between departments have been settled and the documents are at the final stage of approval.
