A mining farm disturbs citizens in Norway

Talking about the need to switch to “green” energy, we forget about another mining problem: the noise level. Thus, it became a cause for concern for the residents of one of the cities in Norway.

In response to the complaints, the head of KryptoVault noted that his company cares about the environment and helps local businesses, as it produces the heat needed to dry wood and algae. According to him, complaints always attract media attention inflating the problem.

However, Kjeti Howe Petersen says that the discontent with cryptocurrency mining is in the minority, so residents are not against such a neighborhood. Petersen also responded to accusations that miners are making electricity more expensive, saying it has nothing to do with reality since digital currencies are mined with surplus electricity.

The head of KryptoValut pointed to the benefits his venture brings to the country’s economy, outlining job creation and tax payments. He cited a goal of destroying the myth that mining is harmful to the environment.

Complaints from residents about the noise from the equipment were as early as 2018. At that time, one of the disgruntled residents spoke of his willingness to blow up the mining farm to achieve silence.
