Riot Platforms to Boost Efficiency with Midas Immersion Cooling’s

Midas Immersion Cooling and Riot Platforms have entered a supply agreement. Riot has ordered 200 MW of Midas’ latest immersion cooling systems. The technology will power Riot’s operations in Corsicana, Texas.

Midas, a leader in immersion cooling solutions, will deliver the systems by the end of 2023. This addition will raise Midas’ deployed capacity to 0.5 GW. Riot also has the option to buy 400 MW more from Midas by 2024. This could increase Midas’ total worldwide deployment to 900 MW.

Riot’s partnership with Midas aims to enhance efficiency across its mining infrastructure. Jason Les, Riot’s CEO, emphasized this agreement’s benefits. It would extend the life of their miners and cut power costs by eliminating forced-air cooling.

Midas’ CEO, Scott Sickmiller, also welcomed the partnership. He promised to deliver top-notch engineering and customer support. Midas’s patented cooling tanks decrease power consumption and cut cooling costs compared to traditional air-cooled systems.

The deal marks a significant step for Riot, a Bitcoin mining and digital infrastructure company. It strives to become a leading Bitcoin-driven infrastructure platform. The company operates in central Texas and Denver, Colorado.
