The Argentinian province will impose a tax on BTC mining

Buenos Aires has adopted a project to tax cryptocurrencies in the coming year.

The head of the province, Alex Kichiloff, presented the document, which stated that the recipient of the tax payment is the local government and it does not provide a link to other taxes established at the state level. Also, the draft law contains a clarification that the document applies only to equipment that falls under the jurisdiction of the province of Buenos Aires.

Even though the enactment of this tax regime is scheduled for January, some elements have not been fully defined. For example, the question of which devices will be taxed has not been resolved. Specifically, whether to charge computers that have staking nodes. In addition, there are questions about the timing of the charge: during the mining process or at the end of the tax period.
