Large-Scale Cryptocurrency Mining Farm Uncovered in Dagestan’s Kizilyurtovsky District

In an unexpected development, police officers in Novoye-Gadari, Kizilyurt district, uncovered a massive cryptocurrency mining operation. A 47-year-old local was the mastermind behind this digital currency farm.

This man had smartly converted a non-residential building into a production hub for digital currencies. All was done under the guise of a legal peasant farm, demonstrating cunning strategy and planning.

However, the suspect’s greed led to his downfall. Apart from the legitimate setup, he also established an unauthorized connection to the power grid. This second line, added for additional power supply, caught the attention of the authorities.

The police operation led to the seizure of 773 devices, all connected to the illicit power line. These devices, now in police custody, were the backbone of the suspect’s illicit mining operation.

The Dagestan Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the incident. Investigations are ongoing, and evidence is currently being collected. This event sends a strong message to potential wrongdoers: the authorities are keeping a vigilant eye on any crypto-related activities.
