U.S. Miners Control Record 26.7% of Bitcoin Hashrate

U.S.-based public mining companies reached a record share of 26.7% of the global Bitcoin hashrate in September 2024, marking the fifth consecutive month of growth. This trend highlights the resilience and adaptability of major players, despite the falling profitability in the sector.

According to JPMorgan, the combined market capitalization of 14 publicly listed U.S. mining companies stands at approximately $20 billion, though it has decreased by 3% in the first half of September. Hut 8 emerged as a leader, with its stock rising 11%, while CleanSpark showed the worst performance, dropping 12%.
