U.S. Bitcoin Mining Giant Riot Platforms Reports Stellar September Performance

Riot Platforms, Inc., a leading Bitcoin mining and digital infrastructure company, has released its production and operations highlights for September 2023. The company mined a total of 362 Bitcoin and sold 340, retaining a holding of 7,327 Bitcoin, according to RiotPlatforms.
Impressively, Riot‘s mining operations are powered by 98,694 deployed miners, boasting a hash rate capacity of 10.9 exahashes per second (EH/s). As a result, the company generated $11 million in Power Credits and an additional $2.5 million in Demand Response Credits. These credits were earned through strategic curtailing of mining operations and participation in the ERCOT’s ancillary services program.
In terms of infrastructure, Riot is making significant advancements. The operations team is installing replacement dry coolers in Building G, one of their immersion-cooled buildings. Consequently, the building’s hash rate is gradually increasing and is expected to reach its full capacity of 2.4 exahashes per second in November. This will contribute to Riot’s total self-mining hash rate of 12.5 EH/s.
Jason Les, CEO of Riot, emphasized the company’s contributions to the stability of the ERCOT electrical grid. He stated that the total Power and Demand Response Credits received equate to approximately 511 Bitcoin, based on the average price of Bitcoin in September.
With these remarkable achievements, Riot Platforms, Inc. continues to solidify its position as a major player in the Bitcoin mining industry. The company’s vertically integrated strategy and strong community partnerships are evidently paying off.
