Marathon Digital Unveils 240 MW Wind Farm, Reinforces Green Initiatives

Marathon Digital has announced a wind power facility with a 240 MW interconnection capacity. The installed capacity is set at 114 MW, and the site will operate entirely on renewable energy. Management believes this step not only broadens the company’s mining portfolio but also significantly enhances its environmental metrics.

According to internal data, the plant will boost combined owned and operated capacity by around 136 MW. Marathon Digital’s strategy involves increasing the share of “green” power across its operations, a move that could attract ESG-conscious investors. Industry observers point out that such projects benefit miners directly, as lower electricity costs translate to higher profitability.

Marathon Digital emphasizes that construction is already underway, with completion expected on schedule. Analysts note that this project bolsters the company’s reputation as a responsible entity in a mining sector rapidly shifting to eco-friendly practices.
