Satoshi-Era Whale Sells Nearly $10 Million Worth of Bitcoin
An unidentified Bitcoin holder from 2009 has sold approximately $10 million worth of cryptocurrency. According to analytics firm Arkham Intelligence, this is a rare instance of activity from early miners who held Bitcoin since its inception.
The address associated with this transaction had been inactive for over 10 years. Over the past two months, the holder gradually transferred Bitcoin to the Kraken exchange, indicating a carefully planned selling strategy.
Experts point out that the introduction of significant amounts of old Bitcoin into the market could impact the cryptocurrency’s price. However, the current sale volume represents a small fraction of total trading volume, so substantial effects are not anticipated.
