Hut 8 Aims to Launch 205 MW Vega Project by Mid-2025

Leading mining firm Hut 8 has revealed plans to debut the Vega project at 205 MW capacity by Q2 2025. Official figures indicate the company oversees more than 15 sites in North America, with past periods showing a total hashrate above 4.5 EH/s. Management anticipates Vega to significantly boost these metrics.

According to internal reports, Hut 8 poured over $120M into hardware and energy investments over the past year to strengthen its market standing. Company representatives estimate the new site could add at least 2 EH/s to operational capacity.

Additionally, the firm is weighing the option of allocating part of its resources to high-performance computing (HPC) for AI tasks if conditions prove favorable. Consequently, Hut 8 is already in discussions with several tech partners prepared to supply server hardware for hybrid workloads.
