Putin States: “Who Can Ban Bitcoin? Nobody,” Highlighting Its Resilience

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated at the “Russia Calling!” investment forum that nobody can ban Bitcoin, as it represents new technologies. He noted that the development of digital currencies is a natural process in the global economy.

“Considering that the share of the U.S. in the global economy is shrinking, and therefore the influence of the dollar is also decreasing, processes related to the use of other instruments are naturally occurring,” Putin said. He emphasized that cryptocurrencies will develop regardless of external factors.

The president’s statement indicates Russia’s readiness to accept and utilize digital currencies as alternatives to traditional financial instruments, especially under sanction pressures.
