Bitdeer Tests SEAL03 on Low Voltage: 9.7 J/TH Achieved

During recent trials, Bitdeer’s SEAL03 chip delivered an energy efficiency of 9.7 J/TH under low-voltage conditions. This milestone is impressive, given that typical designs often exceed 12 J/TH. The company integrated SEAL03 into multiple prototype rigs to assess stability over extended operating sessions.

Experts note that running at reduced voltages can yield 10–15% savings on electricity. For mining farms with daily power costs above $50 thousand, the potential savings are substantial. Bitdeer emphasizes that chips, cooling, and software must work in unison for best results. Testing also confirmed acceptable heat dissipation levels.

Bitdeer’s next steps include firmware optimizations and initial SEAL03 rollouts at its own sites. According to company representatives, if deployment proves successful, such technology could become widespread, with large-scale miners likely to adopt it.
