Bitdeer Eyes 1 GW Power Target for Scalable Canadian Mining Project

Bitdeer is looking to escalate its Canadian site near Alberta to 1 GW of capacity if Bitcoin demand continues to rise. Executives say they can rapidly scale up infrastructure, marking another major move for a firm that already operates large farms in the US, Norway, and multiple other regions.

Bitdeer’s reports show they currently partner with several high-profile clients, managing more than 20 EH/s. Industry experts project that within two years, the company’s global data center capacity could surpass 3 GW, provided market conditions remain favorable. Bitdeer aims to maintain high efficiency and minimal operating costs.

Investors have welcomed the update, particularly given Canada’s relatively low energy rates and abundant resources that allow for more eco-friendly crypto mining. Consequently, the region is cementing its position as a key hub for global mining operations.
