Mexican Billionaire Allocates 70% of His Portfolio to Bitcoin

According to Crypto.news, Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas holds 70% of his investments in Bitcoin and related assets. He dedicates the remaining 30% to gold and gold mining stocks, opting out of bonds altogether. Salinas openly supports decentralized finance, arguing that fiat currencies face ongoing inflation risks.

In 2020, Salinas disclosed that only 10% of his capital was in BTC, but that share has since grown dramatically. He frequently addresses over 2 million followers on social media, urging people to explore crypto as an alternative store of value. The Grupo Salinas owner remains open to further expanding positions in “hard assets.”

Analysts suggest his example could inspire other wealthy individuals across Latin America to enter the digital asset arena. Especially if conventional markets become more volatile.
