Iris Energy Buys 19.2 EH/s of S21 Pro and S21 XP for $411 mln

In January, Iris Energy exercised its option to acquire 19.2 EH/s of the latest S21 Pro and S21 XP miners for a total of $411 mln. Deliveries are scheduled from January through May, partially replacing the previously sold 4.1 EH/s S19j Pro. This aligns with the firm’s strategic push to become a market leader.

Projections suggest the new gear could boost total efficiency and accelerate ROI. Additionally, Iris Energy offloaded 6,300 S19j Pro devices for $1.5 mln to streamline its fleet. Management believes these deals will reduce delivery risks and expedite achieving their target hashrate goals.
