Argo Blockchain revealed plans to relocate an additional 2,500 S19J Pro rigs to its Canadian facility in Quebec. They’ll be converted from immersion to air cooling, with installation slated for completion by March 2025. This decision follows the need to recover hashrate lost after the Helios shutdown.

According to Cryptobrokers.ru, the Quebec site boasts around 70 MW of spare power capacity, enough to support the listed equipment. Analysts predict Argo’s total hashrate could exceed 1 EH/s post-upgrade, bolstering the firm’s market competitiveness.

Experts estimate the swift shift to air cooling could cost Argo around $1.8 mln, factoring in logistics and fan module expenses. Nonetheless, management considers it a vital move to sustain profitability amid Bitcoin’s ongoing price fluctuations.
