Kyrgyzstan’s Mining Registry Includes 10 Companies
According to Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Energy, 10 firms have been added to the official crypto mining register. Among them, Sollarcoin holds the largest share, accounting for around 28% of total production in 2024. Overall, the country’s output in Bitcoin and other coins reached 1.5 EH/s, nearly double last year’s figure.
Experts note that interest in legal mining is rising, thanks to agreements on power imports from Russia and Kazakhstan. Reports indicate that in 2024, the nation attracted 35% more foreign investments in this sector. Local authorities also maintain close collaboration with tax agencies, monitoring financial operations through special reporting procedures.
Government representatives stated they plan further market liberalization in the coming months. This approach could lead to more participants joining the registry and an increased share of “green” energy, which already constitutes 40% of miners’ overall power balance.
