Phoenix Group Reveals 451 MW Capacity Across US, Canada, and Oman
Phoenix Group announced a combined mining and HPC capacity of 451 MW spread across sites in the US, Canada, Oman, Ethiopia, and the UAE. This level positions the firm among the industry’s largest players. Management noted that further geographic expansion is on the horizon.
Experts estimate that this capacity can support up to several EH/s of hashrate, depending on the efficiency and type of hardware deployed. For comparison, an average mining facility ranges from 50 to 150 MW in capacity. Phoenix Group states that some energy sources are renewable, helping reduce operational costs.
The company did not disclose exact investment figures for reaching 451 MW, but earlier data suggested budgets upward of $100 million. Observers believe this infrastructure places Phoenix Group among the more promising contenders in the global HPC and crypto sectors.
