Major Bitcoin Miners Back Pro-Crypto PAC with $2 Million Campaign

Riot Platforms, Marathon Digital, and CleanSpark, among the largest Bitcoin miners in the U.S., have backed a pro-crypto Political Action Committee (PAC) with a $2 million budget. The campaign aims to promote crypto-friendly candidates in key swing states.

The advertising campaign targets voters in Pennsylvania and Texas and includes support for candidates like Donald Trump and Senator Ted Cruz. The crypto industry is becoming one of the biggest spenders in the 2024 election cycle, striving to ensure a favorable regulatory environment.

PAC representatives state that their efforts could sway tens of thousands of voters and shift the balance in favor of digital assets. Total donations from crypto companies to political campaigns have exceeded $190 million.
