Mining Farm with Weapon Stockpile in Omsk Region: New Revelations
During a raid on a mining farm in Russia’s Sedelnikovsky District, police seized not only 60 ASICs but also an entire arsenal of firearms. Early reports indicate multiple shotguns, a small-caliber rifle, and roughly 978 rounds of ammo were confiscated.
Analysts note the farm owner is accused of stealing over $7 mln worth of electricity via an underground cable and a sabotaged meter. Allegedly, profits from illegal mining may have financed the purchase of weapons and ammunition.
Officials have launched a criminal investigation on multiple charges, including illegal arms possession and property damage. Local authorities stress this isn’t the first such case of miners concealing actual power usage through illicit tactics in the region.
