NYDIG Acquires Crusoe to Boost Eco-Friendly Mining
NYDIG is set to acquire the mining assets of Crusoe, a company specializing in converting flared gas into electricity. According to Bitcoin Magazine, this move will increase NYDIG’s total mining capacity by 25% and simultaneously reduce emissions from associated gas processing. The project’s valuation could reach approximately $45 mln.!
The deal includes implementing Digital Flare Mitigation (DFM) technology, cutting unburned emissions by up to 60% in specific areas. Studies indicate that this strategy can save around 10% of energy expenses while fostering a sustainable operational model. By 2026, NYDIG aims to raise its cumulative network hashrate to 15–18 EH/s.
