Bitfarms Nominates Former Paxos COO Andrew Chang to Board of Directors
Bitfarms, a Canadian bitcoin mining company, announced the nomination of Andrew Chang, former Chief Operating Officer of Paxos, to its board of directors. Chang’s selection aims to strengthen the company’s leadership and expand its market presence.
Andrew Chang served as COO at Paxos from 2014 to 2021, where he helped grow the team from 8 to 190 employees and launched the first regulated stablecoin in the U.S. His experience in fintech and blockchain technology will be valuable to Bitfarms.
Shareholders will vote on Chang’s appointment at a special meeting on November 20. The company also plans to increase the number of directors from five to six, reflecting its expansion plans.
