Bitcoin Mining Firm NewRays Sues Judge and Prosecutor Over Selective Noise Laws

Crypto mining company NewRays has filed a lawsuit against a judge and prosecutor, accusing them of selectively enforcing noise laws targeting its operations. The lawsuit claims that new noise regulations were enacted specifically to limit NewRays’ activities, while other companies with higher noise levels were not affected.

NewRays invested $15 million in its mining center, which operates over 2,000 ASIC miners. The company alleges that the new laws violate its rights and result in losses of $500,000 per month.

Neighbors had complained about noise levels, but NewRays installed soundproof barriers costing $1 million to mitigate the impact. Despite these measures, the company faces legal actions and believes it is being unfairly targeted.
