Compass Mining aims to add 60 MW by Q3 2025
Compass Mining is ramping up its infrastructure again: the company plans to expand capacity to 60 MW at one of its Texas facilities by the third quarter of 2025. The buildout will be phased, with a 25 MW start early in the year.
Previously, Compass disclosed an 8 MW proprietary data center project in Iowa. Altogether, combining new sites, they aim for around 85–90 MW within roughly 18 months.
Analysts predict that as global hashrate climbs, more energy capacity will be essential. Company representatives maintain that balanced scaling can preserve profitability, even if crypto prices fluctuate.
