Mogilev Region Prepares Sites for Large-Scale Mining Farms
Regional authorities in Belarus’s Mogilev area announced the development of multiple zones dedicated to massive cryptocurrency mining data centers. The total capacity may reach 100–150 MW, significantly boosting the region’s role in the digital economy. This plan received presidential backing, as Belarus reportedly has surplus electricity.
Local media note that land plots are already reserved, and tax incentives are under discussion. Experts estimate up to 500 new jobs could be created. These strategies aim to attract foreign investors seeking advantageous conditions in Eastern Europe.
Hence, Mogilev Region is poised to become a key mining hub, capitalizing on low-cost power and robust government support.
