Riot Platforms completes first phase of 400 MW mining center in Texas

Riot Platforms announced the completion of the first phase of construction of a 400 MW mining center in Texas. The project, initiated in 2022 with an investment of $333 million, now moves to the second phase of development.

The second phase involves adding another 600 MW of capacity, bringing the center’s total potential to 1 GW. The first buildings of the second phase are expected to begin operation in the second half of 2025, strengthening the company’s position in the global mining market.

Riot Platforms CEO Jason Les noted that increasing capacities will allow the company to significantly enhance mining efficiency and solidify its industry leadership.
