Bitcoin’s Market Cap Now 24 Times Greater Than PoW Altcoins
Bitcoin’s market capitalization has reached record highs, surpassing the combined market cap of all other Proof-of-Work cryptocurrencies by 24 times compared to 2017. According to recent data, Bitcoin’s capitalization stands at approximately $1.2 trillion, while the total capitalization of other PoW altcoins does not exceed $50 billion.
Experts note that the growth of Bitcoin is driven by increased investor interest and its solidifying position as digital gold. Meanwhile, many altcoins are struggling to attract capital, widening the capitalization gap.
Over the past seven years, Bitcoin has strengthened its dominance in the crypto market. In 2017, its market cap only slightly exceeded that of PoW altcoins, but now it surpasses them by 24 times. Analysts predict further growth for Bitcoin, considering current market trends.
