Iris Energy announced plans for a 75MW data center in Texas. The central feature is liquid cooling, which lowers operational costs and boosts mining efficiency. Management believes consistently stable temperatures will grant them a market edge by improving hardware reliability.
Construction starts soon, with completion slated for year’s end. Total investments could exceed $120 mln as capacity ramps up gradually. The firm also explores offering HPC services, merging crypto and AI workloads under one facility.
