CEO of Irkutsk Company Fined for Illegal Cryptocurrency Mining
In the Irkutsk region, the CEO of a company was fined 300,000 rubles for installing cryptocurrency mining equipment on land not designated for such use. A Rosreestr inspection revealed that the use of the land plot did not comply with its permitted purpose.
The company attempted to appeal the decision in court, but the Irkutsk Arbitration Court upheld the fine. This is the first case in the region where company leadership is held accountable for violating land use regulations for mining purposes.
Representatives of Rosreestr stated that they will continue to monitor compliance with land legislation to prevent illegal resource use and ensure infrastructure safety.
