Early 2009 Bitcoin Miner Reactivates After 10 Years, Transfers 15 BTC to Kraken

A significant event has occurred in the cryptocurrency world: an early Bitcoin miner from 2009 has resumed activity after 10 years of dormancy. In recent weeks, they transferred 15 BTC to the Kraken exchange, catching the attention of the crypto community.

According to Arkham Intelligence data, this wallet belongs to a miner who mined bitcoins just one month after the network’s launch in January 2009, when Satoshi Nakamoto was active. The first transfers began three weeks ago, with the miner sending three transactions of 5 BTC each.

Before this, the wallet had been inactive since 2014. During the period of inactivity, the value of their bitcoins grew from $474,000 to over $80 million. The reactivation of such “sleeping” wallets sparks interest and speculation about the owner’s intentions.

Some experts believe this may indicate preparation for a future bull rally in the cryptocurrency market. Others note that movements of old bitcoins can impact liquidity and market sentiment.
