Mining Ban Introduced in Kherson Region Until 2031 to Prevent Power Grid Overload

Authorities in the Kherson region have announced the introduction of a mining ban during the autumn-winter period until 2031 to prevent power grid overload. The decision was made by a government commission and also applies to several other regions.

Violators of the ban face fines of up to 200,000 rubles for legal entities and up to 100,000 rubles for officials. In case of violations, a complete restriction on electricity consumption will be imposed.

The restrictions are related to the increased load on the power grid during the cold season and the need to ensure stable electricity supply for the population and critical infrastructure.
