Bitdeer Unveils SEAL03 Chip at 9.7 J/TH: Efficiency Details

Bitdeer has completed testing for its new SEAL03 mining chip, claiming energy efficiency of 9.7 J/TH. Experts view this figure as a significant improvement over the average industry benchmark of 12–14 J/TH. The chip, produced in collaboration with TSMC, aims to cut electricity costs by operating at ultra-low voltage.

Earlier, Bitdeer announced major R&D investments. Independent analysts predict that such a reduction in power consumption could yield up to 15% in operating savings. As network difficulty rises, hardware producers are fiercely competing on speed and energy efficiency. Moreover, access to low-cost electricity remains crucial.

During the testing phase, the SEAL03 chip was integrated into prototype rigs. Bitdeer asserts that the 9.7 J/TH figure will remain stable upon mass production. Market observers suggest that this chip could reshape the competitive landscape among mining hardware manufacturers.
