Bitfarms surpasses schedule, hitting 19.5 EH/s

International mining firm Bitfarms has announced an early achievement of a crucial milestone: their operational hashrate has already reached 19.5 EH/s. Originally, this target was slated for completion in three months, but Bitfarms accelerated its equipment upgrades. As a result, power consumption per terahash is now down to 19 watts, matching their new energy efficiency benchmarks.

Company representatives attribute this progress to the timely installation of several thousand additional ASIC devices at strategic locations. Bitfarms invested over $60 mln to modernize its infrastructure. Analysts note that such expenditure could hasten consolidation among miners and raise the entry barrier for emerging contenders.

Going forward, Bitfarms aims to maintain a leading position by boosting its share of the global hashrate to 8% over the next six months. The firm anticipates that ongoing optimization will help keep operating costs low and strengthen its resilience against bitcoin price fluctuations. Management emphasizes that these results bolster investor and client confidence.
