Binance Square: Bitcoin Miners Have Already Earned $1.33 bln in December

According to Binance Square, Bitcoin miners collectively secured $1.33 bln in December 2024, exceeding November’s figures by $120 mln. Meanwhile, the hashprice measuring the value of 1 PH/s dropped from $61.78 down to $55.57. Despite this decrease, overall earnings climbed due to stronger BTC prices on major trading platforms.

The platform’s data reveals that around 97% of income still comes from block rewards, while the remaining 3% is transaction fees, which this month amounted to $37 mln. Industry participants suggest that such significant revenues became possible thanks to Bitcoin’s rising average price and heightened market activity.

Experts highlight that if the current trend holds, December may conclude with a record gap compared to all previous months in 2024. The main question is whether this momentum can persist after the January difficulty adjustments. Over the next two weeks, difficulty is expected to rise by 1–2%, potentially influencing miners’ profit margins.
